Human Rights Promotion
FF has been part of the activities aiming to create awareness about basic human rights among communities. This year FF celebrated International Women Day on 8th March, 2007 and conducted 10 sessions in different locations of Rawalpindi to highlight the legal aspect of women rights which were attended by 1500 women. The amended article 174 A was also the topic of the day.
To assist the free and fare elections in Pakistan, UNDP launched a project for the capacity building of Returning Officers and Presiding Officers in 2007. FF is the implementing partner of UNDP and contributed to train 400 Presiding Officers through its 02 professional trainers. To educate the voters FF has conducted 8 sessions for 2500 new voters in Taxila and Rawalpindi. To promote RH rights of the couples FF has established 04 delivery centers for counseling and treatment of the clients in urban slums & rural areas. One hundred thousand patients were served during 2007.
